Silaluk padded into the clearing, where the gleaming pool lay. Her white paws ached from the long journey though the skies. They wished to be back on the ice, and her heart ached for the crunch, crunch, crunch of the snow under beneath her feet. She wanted nothing more han not to be here, to have no reason to come together with the other great bears. She sighed. But there is no other way. If we don't ome together now to stop the no-claws, then they will destroy the wild. My kind have already suffered enough. The ice breaks earlier and earlier every year. The time to suffer must stop.
Silaluk walked up to the pool and sat down. She knew the other bears already had their problems. But all of this must be dealt with. The canopy of trees shaded the area. The sun's rays leeked through it, making the shadows look like a picture. A picture hidden in the shadows. Suddenly Silaluk blinked her black eyes, seeing something. The shape the shadows formed was a...no-claw. Silaluk could see the flat face, the thin legs, and odly shaped paws. Her graceful dark eyes darted around the clearing, looking for more signs. They didn't find any. But what does this mean?
Silaluk sighed. This issue must be dealt with immeadiatley. Getting up fom the edge of the water, she looked around. No one. Then she lifted her nose and sniffed the air. Nothing. She realized that the other two great bears hadn't arrived yet. She settled herself down at the edge of the water, feeling it lick her paws. It lapped up at her fur, tickling her pelt. She raised her hin high in the air, and called out in a soft voice, "Arcturus, Ursa, the time has come."
